Meeting Ryan Reynolds for Turbo Racing at the Today Show
This week I joined some blog friends at the Rockefeller Plaza for the Turbo 500!. There Ryan Reynolds, who plays Turbo in the movie, raced against the Today Show hosts to be the first to get their giant snails (based in Turbo movie characters) up the side of the building!
First let me say that seeing Ryan Reynolds was surreal. One moment the group was waiting for him to come out and then....I looked up and there he was! I barely got my camera up in time to take a few photos. But I did get some!
Then it was time for Ryan to Go Turbo and Race!

The race itself was pretty close but in the end Ryan was able to snail ahead and win the race. It was very fun to see the giant snails going up the side of the building. Check out my below video for a mini clip.

As you can see Ryan played to win and earned his reef of flowers and congratulations from the Today Show hosts, Indy 500 Winners and IndyCar Champions.
As if that wasn't enough fun for the morning, a little while later the group had a private meet and greet with Ryan Reynolds! That's right. I interviewed Ryan Reynolds!
During the interview I learned how Ryan and Turbo are similar and how he spends down time with his family. Stay tuned, I'll post my interview soon. Along with a photo of me and Ryan Reynolds.....and yeah the other bloggers. LOL

ReplyDeleteI love the fact that Ryan values spending time with his family during his down time. It is so important to always make time for family even with one's own busy career. It's a great way to stay grounded and to keep ties with one's roots.
