Winter’s Tale Cast Interview: Colin Farrell, Jennifer Brown Findlay, Jennifer Connelly
Last month I attended a Press Junket where I was able to interview the cast members of Winter’s Tale including Colin Farrell, Jennifer Brown Findlay, Jennifer Connelly, Eva Marie Saint and director Akiva Goldsman
Note: I was invited as media to this event. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.
Since the movie was released in theaters, by now I really hope you've seen the movie or have heard enough about it. Hopefully you don't mind heard the casts answers and comments about the movie. The cast interview was really amazing. I learned so much more about the movie, how it differs from the book and what the director hopes viewers will take away.
My interview questions to the cast included asking Jennifer Connelly how her character was able to take a blind leap off the roof, asking Jennifer Brown Findlay did she really have to act in snow, and asking Colin Farrell to tell me everything. But that was only because he teasing called me greedy for asking so many questions.
Take a listen to the audio from the interview. Sorry we weren't allowed to take photos or directly film the cast. But I can say that everyone was lovely in person. Yes even that bad boy Colin Farrell. He was the most surprising humble and down to earth.
While the actors are down to earth in real life, the movie is in the realm of fantasy. At first I thought it was just a regular love story. But by the 2nd half of the movie, Will Smith shows up as Satan, the heroine has died and the hero is wandering the earth lost. I admit I was also lost for a bit there.
But once I refocused on the larger theme of the movie - everyone is worthy of being saved -- I saw (and enjoyed) the movie beyond being a love story. Yes the love story was there but the love was for everyone. What a great take away from the movie.
