Girls Night Out at ROUGH NIGHT NYC Screening & Cast Q&A #RoughNightMovie

By June 12, 2017 ,

It's been a long while since I had a girls night out! So when Sony Pictures invited me to an advance screening for ROUGH NIGHT, followed by a Q&A with the cast, I knew this was my chance to make it happen!

Note: I was invited as media to this event. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.

If you've seen the trailer for ROUGH NIGHT, then you know it's a story-line of a girls night out that goes wrong with lots of laughs. A great movie choice for me and some of my friends! Who by the way was ready for an adult night of fun and laughs. Being able to screen the movie was a plus!

ROUGH NIGHT NYC Pre-Movie Party

But before screening the movie, Sony Pictures made sure we got into the mood with a pre-movie party. The party offered us lots of fun activities including

Enjoying ROUGH NIGHT cocktails and food. Yes there was penis shaped food.

Taking more photos at the booth and table filled with ROUGH NIGHT props including head bands with little penis and sash with phrases from the movie. I scored one that said "better off Wed". HA!

Meeting some of the ROUGH NIGHT male cast. I scored a photo with Ryan Cooper, whos's the dead hottie in the film. While my friends got in a photo with Colton Haynes, who's the hot stripper in the film.

While we were having fun at the pre-party, it was soon time to screen the film. So we headed into the theater and spent the next nearly 2 hours laughing so hard. There might have been a few tears also.

ROUGH NIGHT movie review

MY REVIEW:

The ROUGH NIGHT film is hilarious! Some might say it's a female version of "Hangover" but for me it's more "Weekend at Bernie's". It had a classic comedic feel with a splash of female centered jokes. There's a scene where Scarlett Johansson talks about self waxing shaming that women will SO get.

While the movie was mostly comedic there was some deeper bonding moments between the women. It added something and made us all go awwww but this isn't a tear jerker kinda movie. There's drinking, people being killed, three-somes and more adult stuff. But it's all funny stuff.

ROUGH NIGHT is a great movie for a fun night out with girls friends or a couple on a date.

ROUGH NIGHT NYC Cast Q&A:

After screening the movie, the cast came in for a Q&A. What followed was lots of laughs and sharing about personal happening during filming. You can tell that the cast had a great time working together.

While the movie itself and cast Q&A offered a lot of laughs. There's also the important point mentioned during the Q&A about the movie having a female director and the need for more of that.

After seeing ROUGH NIGHT with my female friends, we all agree we need more movie like it!
