3 Reasons to See Ant-Man & The Wasp

By June 27, 2018 ,

Marvel Studios’ ANT-MAN AND THE WASP opens in theaters on July 6th and offers so much for both Marvel fans and families looking to have a movie night. During my trip to L.A for the #AntManAndTheWaspEvent press junket, I was able to screen the ANT-MAN AND THE WASP and enjoyed it so much!

3 Reasons to See Ant-Man & The Wasp

Note: Marvel Studios, Freeform and Disney Junior invited me on this all expense paid trip to Los Angeles for the Ant-Man and The Wasp Event. While I will share different events and activities during the trip, any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.

Not only did I get to find out why Scott didn't join the Avengers for the Infinity War, but I also got to see Hope suit up (finally) as The Wasp. And she was amazing. If you want to know more about The Wasp, then watch the “Who is the Wasp?” Featurette.

In this new featurette, you'll learn about the legacy of “The Wasp” from her Super Hero origins in the Marvel comics, as a founding member of the Avengers, to her connections in the next AVENGERS film and the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward.

Speaking of amazing women in the Marvel universe, this leads into one of the reasons, ANT-MAN AND THE WASP was an enjoyable film to watch.

The Female Hero and Villains

Female Hero and Villains Marvel Ant-Man & The Wasp

While women have been both on the good and bad side of the law in comic books for years, there's not that many on screen. But with the introduction of Ghost (originally a male character), we get another female in the superhero world on screen. And it's so much awesomeness.

The scenes of The Wasp and Ghost are each good in their own right. Both women have a strong presence on screen and in the storyline. But then get them together fighting and it's great to see. They both bring the action and excitement to the film and it's well done. These women don't need anyone to save them. They'll do the saving!

The Action and Adventure of it All

Marvel Ant-Man & The Wasp

As if watching ANT-MAN AND THE WASP shrink and grow large isn't cool enough, there's lots more happening the story-line that attention keeping. I don't want to give to much away, so I'm just going to share in a general without giving anything away.

There's the race to get the thing, to do the thing before that other thing happens. Or when Scott has to do that thing before the other people find out. Add in side stories of the other characters and they having t do their thing, which also affects Scott's thing and there's never a dull moment in the film.

The Touching "Family" Tale

While I knew the film would return to the world of Scott Lang and his life including his daughter, I was deeply moved to be reminded how much love is there. Scott's movement as a dad really is the heart of this film, while he is a superhero doing all the cool things, it's for a reason, his love for his daughter.

*wipes tear*

But the touching story doesn't end with Scoot, we also see how love is affecting everyone actions and choices including Hope and her dad, Scott's friends and even the villains. Yes there's a deep story there. I guarantee you'll be touched in some way by all the characters in ANT-MAN AND THE WASP.

Go see it when it opens in the theaters on July 6th!
